On December 1st, we held our first Eye See festival (dubbed Eye See Sounds) with the help of our guest curator – Mbithi Masya. We put together a list of music videos, short films and features (see the whole list here) and showed them from 10am – 11:00pm to a surprisingly resilient audience (thank you all!).

The Cuban Ambassador to Kenya – H.E. Raul Rodriguez Ramos – turned up to watch one of the features, the legendary Buena Vista Social Club – set in the 1940s, and based on the dance, music and lives of the members of the Buena Vista Social Club in Havana. Details of the next month’s Eye See festival will be out soon. See you then!
