Every month, the NEST commissions Kenyan artists to investigate new ideas they’ve always wanted to experiment with as part of our Curiosities program. For our very first curiosity, we commissioned exciting new video artist Dan Muchina to produce a short video piece. Daniel describes the resulting piece, titled “Santerium” as an investigation of human fears and the freedom gained from facing those fears.

Curious? So are we! “Santerium” debuts later this month at the NEST. In the meantime, Dan sent us these work-in-progress screen-grabs that promise a moody, psychedelic ride. Stay tuned!
